Are you Ready to Take the Beachbody Challenge?

I'm so very excited to be hosting a Beachbody Challenge over the holidays.  This is going to be very small and intimate with just 5 people. We all will commit to our fitness goals, health goals, diet, and stay accountable to one another. We will all be in this together and I will be hosting starting in December.

What is so cool about these challenges is that we will all be doing the SAME THING! We will all be doing a workout program, drinking Shakeology, tracking our progress, staying connected in our private facebook group, etc. So if you are thinking “Well I don’t have Shakeology” well then YES what I am saying is you will have to commit to getting on Shakeology and drinking it 1 time per day. This will be a commitment for the 5 people I take in and I want us all to be 100% committed… I plan on giving 110% of myself to YOU to help you reach success and I want you to do the same!

By joining my challenge you will automatically get 1 month FREE of Beachbody Club membership. This is a great tool to have for all of us because we will all be starting at a different point in our fitness so with the club membership you will get a customizable meal planner that will make reaching your goals even EASIER. Oh, and another HUGE BONUS is you get 10% off all your Beachbody products by being a Club Member and go into daily drawings when you track your workouts to win CASH just for working out.

Before I recap the exact details I want you to ask yourself these questions….

1. Do you want to get healthy?

2. Do you want to fit in your skinny jeans?

3. Do you want to look in the mirror and feel GOOD about what you see?

4. Do you want to have energy?

5. Do you want to add years onto your life ?

6. Do you want to set a good example for your children?

7. Do you want to have a more positive attitude?

8. Do you want to build relationships with others going through the same things?

9. Do you want to have more confidence?

10. Do you want to get your life on track and start a new healthy lifestyle?

I think we all want those things and THIS challenge is the answer to help you achieve those goals. It takes 21 days to create a habit and with this you will have others looking to see if you did your workout and hearing from YOU that day so that accountability will keep you on track!

So, are you interested? OF COURSE YOU ARE .… Before I break it down for you FIRST you need to go to https://www.teambeachbody.com/signup/-/signup/free/120048 to sign up for a FREE account with me so I am your official Beachbody Coach.

My Transformation Part 1

So I've been tracking my weight and measurements since September, gradually quit Diet Coke, started eating better, and in October started drinking Shakeology and exercising at least 3 times a week. Results so far are 5.6 pounds down and 15.5 inches lost! (Down 11 pounds since Jan 1st) Woohoo!

I love the second picture (side view).  ;)

I'm still working hard and adding the 4th workout per week.  For some reason, slow change works for me.

A Change is Good :)

Hello everyone!  Just letting you know there has been change in our lives lately. Good change that is.  The last time I wrote in our blog, was at the end of May 2011 when we bought our new house.  So here is a summary of everything that has happened since.

Jeff's dad helped us tear up carpet, paint walls, fix anything electrical, install appliances, move furniture, lay floor, and more all in less than a month.  He did so much for us in such a short period of time and we are forever grateful for everything he did.  The rest of Jeff's family helped lay the floor and move the heavy furniture to our house.  My friend, Cassie, and her brother, helped me move the smaller stuff in 6-8 trips.  In her words "we have a lot of stuff"  lol.  Yes we do and I'm in the mood to purge!  Oh, and she helped prime the walls with a tiny brush because I wasn't smart enough at the time to use the roller.

The house received a face lift inside.  The ceiling and every wall was painted.  I tackled the kitchen cabinets and did my best to make them look better than they did.  The bathroom cabinets and a kitchen windowsill still need paint, but I'm saving those projects for the holidays.  Jeff worked so very hard at his job, finishing the school year, packing, making decisions on the house and worrying about not being here to help every second.  He also painted, sanded, helped pull up tacks, lay floor, and anything else that needed to be done.

I would just like to say, I'm a very lucky lady to be married to this wonderful man. :)

So as the new school year started, no full time music positions were open anywhere in the 30 mile area, and I started subbing again.  I do love substitute teaching because it gives me the opportunity to be in other classrooms and to see how teachers organize their rooms and how they run their classrooms.  The only thing I don't enjoy is the low pay but I do enjoy the days I have off to run errands.

I also decided to become a Beachbody Coach....again.  The first time, I was unsure about what it is all about but this time, I know this is what I want to do.  I want to help people lose weight.  I've started the process myself and my goal is to lose 100 pounds.  I know I can because I have the tools and support to do it.  Now I'm looking for others that want to help "End the Trend" to join my team.  So keep your eyes open for my next blog.  An amazing challenge is on the way!  www.michelleattaway.com

Jeff and I have been married for a year and two months now and we love each other more and more everyday.  We are so appreciative of all our family and friends who have helped us along the way before we met and up to today.

We love ya! :)

Bring on the weekend!

Happy Easter! I'm so glad the weekend is here. I have worked full time since spring break ended. I'm enjoying working with the middle school and will really enjoy the paycheck.

The house hunt is still going strong. We looked at a house today that would be perfect except for the price. We shall see what happens. Just trying to be patient.

Hope everyone enjoys their weekend!

What A Day

It was one of those days that you know something is going to happen and it may not be a good something either.

Waking up was hard to do this morning.  I was scheduled to sub all day.  When I finally looked in the mirror, I  noticed my left eye a little red.  I thought maybe it was my contact and I would come home during 2nd period conference and clean the contact.

I did that and continued my day.  Nothing changed, so I called my busy doctor's office in the town I just moved from and now I have a prescription sitting at Walmart.  I can tell that my eye is getting a little worse.  I hope I sleep ok tonight and the medicine works fast.  Going to work on getting a new doctor in this town tomorrow.

House Update
At lunch today, my sweet husband searched online for the house that we put an offer on.  We haven't heard from our realtor and have been on pins and needles wanting to know if our offer was accepted.  Well, we saw the words "Under Contract".  Our hearts sank and I was pretty close to bawling right there.  We told ourselves that maybe it's a misprint since we haven't talked to our realtor.  Took a deep breath and went on about our day.

Later in the day, my hubby called the realtor and she said that they (meaning Fannie Mae) accepted someone else's offer on the house.

So right now the dream of painting and having family over in a place of our own has been put on pause.

Hopefully it will be a short pause.

ok...happy thoughts

Lucky # 7

7 months
Today is our seven month wedding anniversary!!! Yay!!  Yes, I'm celebrating every month.  I love celebrations!! :)  I'm the luckiest girl in the world to be married to this sweet, caring, loving, talented, and smart man. :)

Houses
The last time I updated my blog I mentioned that we were looking at houses and possibly putting a bid in.  Well, after two bids not accepted, we couldn't go any higher.  Too much work and too much money for the house.  We passed on bidding higher on Friday.  My hubby was sad.  I was sad.  So I went home to look at manufactured homes.  I only looked for a minute then decided to search again for houses in our area.  Maybe houses were hidden somewhere on the internet and I haven't found them yet.

Well, I found something on Zillow.com.  No picture, so I put the address in my phone and took off in my car.  It happens to be really close to where we both work.  My hubby and I looked at it after he got off work. We got in touch with our realtor and today we put in an offer.  This house is perfect for us.  Needs paint, new flooring, and a few holes repaired and that's about it.  I'm very excited and hope they accept the offer soon.

Who knows
...what the future holds.  A new house?  Staying in this apartment for a few years?  New job for me?  Staying at home?  Vacations?  A baby?  Who knows?  I'm just excited that I'm spending it with Jeff. :)

My New Obsession

Before I get to "My New Obsession", let's do a little catching up.  First, Happy Belated Valentine's Day!  I had a wonderful day with my hubby. :)  He brought me breakfast in bed (glass of water, a Nature Valley Oat N' Honey bar, and a pink post it with "happy valentine's day" on it). That was so sweet!  I did receive a rose, a Pillow Pet red dog, chocolate, and a little card that he made later in the day.  I subbed and even worked with him that day.  I ran to Wal-Mart after school and picked up the "A-Team" movie, package of Nestle chocolate covered pretzels, and a Lysol automatic soap dispenser just because it was on sale.  The soap dispenser I believe won the prize for the best present ever! I forgot he loved soap dispensers.  My sister got us one as a wedding gift.  We tried to hang it in the shower without using the glue to stick it to the wall because we won't be in the apartment forever.  Unfortunately, the dispenser crashed into the tub one day and the lids broke.  I haven't ordered replacements yet but I will.

We traveled to Hot Springs last week to the All State Band, Choir, and Orchestra clinics and concerts.  This year is the first year I ever listened to the choirs perform.  It was absolutely beautiful!  The main reason we watched is because my best friends' "little" girl was in the mixed choir.  I'm so proud of her!  I remember her coming to concerts as a baby to see her mommy perform in college.  Time flies and I'm so excited to see her future unfold.

Ok, so we are almost to my new obsession.  Hang tight!

About a month ago, my husband decided to check out homes for sale online.  Yahoo had homes listed and he asked if I wanted to run by a few.  I said sure and away we went!  The last one of the day (by the way, snow was still on the ground) was located deep in the woods with a severe driveway.  It reminded me of a roller-coaster.  On the left of the drive was a pond and on top of a hill was this little 2 story house.  It was private, had a bay window, and a deck at the front.  He was in love!!!!!  The pond was gorgeous with a dash of snow on the bank.  No neighbors in sight.  It was heaven...until he contacted a realtor and it was already sold by the next business day.  WHAT!?!?!  Well it began the whole process of checking out other places for us to live.  Apartments are good, but for now we really need more room, less neighbors, and a place to practice.  Today we put a bid in for a HUD home.  I'll tell you more about that when/if we get it.

New Obsession*
Since we decided that we really were going for it...the house I mean, I've been studying up on do it yourself projects.  This house needs cleaning, paint, clean carpet, one day new flooring, an air conditioner, and a few appliances.  I'm learning how to paint cabinets, lay bamboo/hardwood flooring, remove border, paint particle board/laminate, and other handy things.  I'm gonna invest in a staple gun, hot glue gun, and fabric tape for sure.  I'm beyond excited to (hopefully) be moving into a house soon with my hubby.  To get all our belongings from our parents' storage/houses and put it in our house is one of our dreams.  Positive thoughts and volunteers to help us move less than a mile from where we are now is greatly appreciated.

:) happy Friday!!

Get Out of Town!!

http://michellejeff.blogspot.com/

Yes we did!!  We had an amazing one day trip that was well deserved for both of us.  We saw most of our families in the same place.  Flying Burger was the meeting ground, then it was on to mom's house where she had cheesecake waiting for us.  After a little more visiting, my mother in law, sister in law, mom, and us met on the square to do a little shopping.  Jeff and I finally used the rest of our gift cards at the Treasure Chest to purchase a  nice set of Oneida knives!  We feel like grown-ups now!! We have our own set of knives!  We said goodbye to our families and visited Walgreens to check out the sales and coupons.  I, for the first time ever, got some Right Guard body wash for FREE!!  Yes, I am very proud of it too!

Then it was time to head in the direction of home.  Thankfully, my brother and his family have a house on the way so we stopped in for a visit.  They are adding on to their home and our cousin is doing the work.  He is doing an amazing job!!  I'll post pics soon.

We stopped at Cracker Barrel for supper and of course ate way too much.  Hamburgers-Thursday, Pizza-Friday, Hamburgers-Saturday, and Cracker Barrel-Saturday was all adding up and making us not feel too well.  We are in the beginning stage of getting back to eating normal again.  Cooking and eating at home makes us feel better so that's what we are going to do this week.  Hope we can do it!

Snow day!

I've been waiting on this snow day all week! I've been watching the radar on my weather channel app for a few days but was totally surprised this morning when I looked outside and snow was everywhere!!! Beautiful! Unfortunately I did lose a day of subbing but I think we will still get by. :)

Job
Last Friday I had an interview with Career Pathways. I think the interview went ok but I knew that wouldn't be the one they wanted. I also learned that the job would be based in Nashville and that would mean a lot of driving for me. Gas would eat up about half of the paycheck so that was the big deciding factor for me.

Luckily, I was asked if I would like to sub while another teacher goes on maternity leave. I said I would do it! I should be working April through the end of the school year. I'm very excited about it and a little nervous. But that's normal :)

I am so lucky!
Jeff is working on our taxes. He volunteered so I'm happy to let him. I hope it's a painless process.

Time to enjoy our 3 day weekend! Happy birthday to my nephews! Todd is 8 today and Tyler will be 13 tomorrow! Wow, time flies!

***corrected job paragraph @12:44am
"knew I wouldn't be the one they wanted". Not "knew I would be the one". Lol

So excited!!!

I've waited a few days so I would have something to write.  I'm not too exciting lately.

The first news is that I have been subbing quite a bit lately and missed a call last night to sub but that's ok.  I'm subbing tomorrow.  January paycheck for me will only have 2 days pay.  February has at least 8 1/2 days so far.  Yay!

Ok, I'm hopeful
I have an interview Friday!  Yay!  The job consists of working at the community college with Career Pathways.  I think it would be perfect for me.  I really do.  I'm trying not to be too excited but I really can't wait until Friday.  It's like time is standing still.  Wish me luck!

I love my new family
Jeff just set his mom up on Skype, with the help of his cousin, Leslie.  Since gas is so expensive right now and we have one income at the moment, this will help with wanting to visit with family face to face.  I'm trying to get my mom and my sister to get an account and hopefully when my brother gets internet he will.  It's very cool.  I recommend it.

Healthy food? me? really?
We have been eating pretty healthy lately.  I had a flash back today of what I would grabe to eat at lunch or after school, stopping at Wendy's or Sonic before going home.  Not now.  Not in about a month have we stopped to get McD's or whatever.  Once a week, we do have a Sonic Happy Hour drink.  I have removed the cherries and vanilla from my Diet Dr. Pepper.  It's just too sweet now.

Tonight we had grilled chicken, small potato wedges, rice with corn and sweet peas.  It was great!  Really!

I've been thinking...

about this post for awhile. lol  What am I gonna say?  Oh well, here it goes.

Workout postponed...again.
Last night instead of working out we had popcorn, m&m's, and Kill Bill on TNT.  We needed a movie break.  Jeff was disappointed that everything gory (aka special effects) was left out.  I've never seen it and I was making stupid comments about how fake it looked.  Why do I do that?  I don't know.  Sorry Jeff.

Today
We've had a good relaxing day.  Took lots of pics of Jeff playing with Brutus, I've searched the internet for more coupons, and took pics of our Valentine decor.  We still need to venture out to Wal-Mart.  Tomorrow we plan on attending the Methodist Church here.

Neighbors
Upstairs, we have some very sweet neighbors.  A lady came down and asked us if we liked meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and green beans.  Of course we do!!  So we ended up with supper!  How nice is that!?!?!  We are already planning on repaying them.

Ipad
Speaking of cooking...well kinda.  Have a mentioned I received an Ipad for Christmas from my wonderful husband and in-laws?  WELL...I DID!  It is so cool!  It keeps me entertained in the kitchen.  I can actually get things done while watching the ABC Player app.  Caught up on episodes of the Bachelor and Brothers and Sisters the other night. It's amazing! :)  I remember having a tv or a radio playing while I washed dishes  when I lived at home with my parents.  I totally forgot that until this morning.

Time to head to Wal-Mart, Fred's, or Dollar General!  Have a great night!

Friday, January 21, 2011

Already the 21st of January?? Wow!

Time sure does fly when you are having fun!  I just realized that the end of January is near.  Next month will be a fun month for our family.  Tons of birthdays and All State band clinic will keep us busy.  Let's see...my mom, sis, both nephews, an uncle, and a cousin will celebrate their birthdays next month.  I believe my mom has decided on having a cookout around the second week.  I hope it's not during All State.  Oops, may have to check on that.

Coupons
I'm trying something new.  Not only this blog, but also using coupons.  I'm very excited about the idea!  I know very little about online coupons so I'm hoping the stores are ok with them.  We shall see what happens!!  I've included a link to the Krazy Coupon Lady.  Haven't watched her on TLC yet but I will.

Weight loss journey
Since January 3rd, my husband and I have been watching what we eat by cutting calories and using the website and iphone app, Myfitnesspal.com.  I love it!  We have also exercised at least 4-5 times a week.  We both have had great results and I'm really excited to share that I can now fit into a smaller pair of jeans.  Unfortunately I've been feeling a little blah but I believe it's because I've skipped a few days exercising.  Tonight we are jumping back into our routine with Turbo Fire.  I hope to be starting Chalean Extreme again.  It's a weightlifting program that worked really well for me a few years ago.

So wish us luck!  It's a life long journey for us.
